Fall of 2022 kicked off the first season of MVA Middle School Rec. 

Two teams were formed, an A team and a B team, to give girls who don't have access to middle school volleyball to opportunity to learn the game and compete against local schools. 

These girls learned the game of volleyball, created new skill sets and competed in every match. This season was such a success, we will be expanding into several more teams next season! Thank you to all of the athletes and coaches who invested into this season to make this possible! 

Olivia Finckel will head to Switzerland in the fall to play professional volleyball for VFM! 

Olivia was a joy to coach. We knew from the first time she stepped foot into MVA in 9th grade that she was going to have an amazing volleyball career. Olivia helped Towson University win the Conference then went to Palm Beach Atlantic for Graduate School where she helped the Sailfish reach an NCAA Beach Final Four. 

MVA partners with 2 time Olympic Medalist, World Champion, Stanford University assistant coach, and sought after mindset coach, Courtney Thompson. 

MVA has been working with Courtney on and off the court over the past few years to implement how to help train our mindset, on and off the court. For years our MVA staff has gotten to work with Courtney at Gold Medal Squared clinics and we have gotten to see the huge value on the Mindset piece that is missing in todays youth sports. We are excited to bring Courtney back in person this winter to work exclusively with our MVA staff and athletes.

We have seen a huge shift in the way our teams work since partnering with Courtney, this is a partnership that you do not want to miss out on!

Congratulations to MVA Alumni Olivia Finckel for earning a tryout with the USA Women'n National team. Olivia is one of 24 opposite hitters who will tryout February 21st-23rd in Colorado Springs at the Olympic Training Center.
